So I skipped the last day of W11. Week 12 adds a total of three minutes running and I figured I’d be ok. I was and the run went great! No issues to speak of running wise but my schedule has been busy and my motivation to run a little less than normal. Time to […]
I skipped D3 of WK11, see the first WK12 post for details!
Hit the 5 mile mark today! I am doing a 5 mile (not K) race in about a week so this makes me happy! Day 2 of Week 11 was not bad. I had the endurance but some fatigue and overall weariness set in toward the end. I pace blame for this on myself. I […]
Today begins Week 11 of 10K Trainer. Three 17 minute runs with a one minute walk between each. I don’t like walking! The first run of this week went very well. I seem to be getting my comfort later in the runs though, usually in the last two miles. I’ve been running this trail since […]
Week 10 went well. Next week I’ll be adding a total of about 6 minutes to the runs which should add about .5 miles and get me close to the 5 mile mark. I have my first race coming up soon and it’s not a 5K, it’s a 5 Mile. Then, four days later I […]
Today was one of those “bad” days running. There is never really a bad day running but there are tougher days. This was one. I’m starting to recognize what conditions really affect me during a run and the Texas heat and humidity are absolutely a factor. It was only around 80 today but it really […]
Another good day. Weather was nice and the run went well. I’ve started having a few pains in my shoulders, most likely from clenching my hands (common running issue) but other than that, nothing to report.
Ah much better. W10D1 is three fifteen minute runs with a minute of walking in between. Great run. Had some hip soreness but it subsided. My calves were pissy for the first mile but also warmed up and things went fine. The weather cooled again so that was nice. Not sure what I’m going to […]
Felt icky today. Just one of those bad run days and today was the bombing at the Boston Marathon. 🙁 The weather was pretty warm as well. I’ve found that I tend to be a lot more comfortable in 50-60 degrees rather than 80-90. Finished with less mileage for the time which means my ace […]
Day two of week 9 was about the same as the first, pretty simple. No pain, easy pace. Nothing out of the ordinary as expected. Really glad I trained on 5K’s for awhile before beginning 10K training.
