Today was one of those “bad” days running. There is never really a bad day running but there are tougher days. This was one. I’m starting to recognize what conditions really affect me during a run and the Texas heat and humidity are absolutely a factor. It was only around 80 today but it really killed my pace and just made breathing much harder. Perhaps it’s a mental game as well but I’m leaning toward it not being one. A lot of my seasoned running friends have said “That’s why I joined a gym or bought a treadmill for the sumer months”. Running at night doesn’t cut it from what I understand. If you aren’t from Texas you might not be able to comprehend 100 degrees after sunset but we do have it. I’ll see what happens come summer!
